Reproduction of Gimhae Tea Bowls

Gaya earthenwares, Joseon Dynasty's Buncheong Ceramics and Gimhae tea bowls are recreated by ceramic artists and can be found in people's everyday lives here in Gimhae.

They can be found in fountains, bridges and statues and, the patterns of the actual artifacts improve the city's aesthetics by being incorporated into apartment buildings, walls, temporary enclosures and structures. They are used for various events including the Gaya Culture Festival and, can be found in various forms like badges, breads, pancakes and packaging boxes.

Earthenware Horn Cup in the Shape of a Warrior on Horseback

The National Treasure No. 275 Earthenware Horn Cup in the Shape of a Warrior on Horseback discovered in Deoksan-ri, Gimhae is from the ancient Gaya Confederacy period and it offers a very realistic depiction of an armoured warrior on horseback. The warrior is wearing a pointed helmet and holding a shield. The horse is always wearing a face shield and body armour.
